Yesterday's Pants
The answer to everything. Where are my keys? Yesterday's Pants. Where' my wallet? Yesterday's Pants. Why didn't that pretty girl like me? Yesterday's Pants. Um, okay. Stick used to be in a shitty punk band called Yesterday's Pants. He played drums and sang some back up. Most of these songs were written in one afternoon. We never had our shit together enough to have a press kit, but here's a fake bio: The story of Yesterday's Pants: Yesterday's pants was formed by Dan Treiber in 1977 in a little town outside of London. It was during the hey day of the English punk rock scene and Yesterday's Pants were in their prime. Playing almost 4 gigs a year the Pants (as they were known to local punk rock hipsters) began drawing crowds by the dozens. After 3 and a half years of this non stop parade of punk rock madness, they disbanded due to Dan Treiber's enormous belly making it literally impossible for him to tour any longer, (or even stand up and walk around). It was a wild ride but Treiber's Pants had finally split. (Get it, Treiber's pants had split, lol). Fast forward 24 years to 2001. Dan suddenly realized that because he was the head of a small, but incredibly hip record company, he had virtually dozens of musicians at his disposal. He decided to make some calls and reincarnate Yesterday's Pants. Using different players (including the multi talented Stick Martin and the slightly chubbier Brook Pridemore) So at this point Yesterday's Pants is a pet project of Trieber's with an ever evolving cast of characters backing him up. They still play a handfull of special shows a year. |
