Album Commentaries

Hey peeps,
Just a quick update.  We've added free album commentary to Officer Murphy and Black Samurai.  Just hit them up on thier music pages.  Once again this is free.  In case you didn't know, album commentary is the new cool thing.  It just like the directors commentary on your dvds, but instead, its the people who wrote and recorded the album talking.  Check it out.

We win best hip hop group and working on album

We won best hip hop group again in the Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay Reader's Choice Poll.  Thank you to all who voted for us.  We were also the runner up for best band.    This actually happened back in December, but it's been tough to find time to keep the many websites updated.
Next thing we're working on is the new album.  Hopefully we'll get it done in the next few months.  It's gonna be called Houses of the Harlow.  This album is gonna rock you asses off.  Lots of punk and harder edged rock.
Another thing, Crafty Records, the label that sponsors us, has released a new compilation album featuring most of their artists and bands.  This album is really, really good and we'll have some copies for you in a couple weeks.
Thanks for reading.  See you around.

Please vote 4 TSMS in CL's Best of the Bay

Biggest News Update in TSMS history

Crazy, crazy week coming up. We hope to see a bunch of you people hanging out with us.
First off, I'm trying really hard to get as many heads out to my open mic this Tuesday as I possible can. We've had a ton of country and karaoke lately, and I'd love to get it back to kids playing originals and rocking asses off. Please, please, please come out and play, (but dont' play that song called "Come Out and Play" I hate the Offspring). I'm really trying to rally some heads here, don't let me down.

Next thing, I want to mention is all mp3 album downloads from our website are now $5. Five bucks, for a full album, what a bargain?

Click here if you're interested in this deal of the century.

Up next, is a while back Stick appeared on the Screaming Sam Show podcast. I had a joke off with Water Boy and it was hilarious. Did I win the joke off? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Next up, we got mentioned on TBT's webiste. They made a small connection between our last studio album and one of Michael Jackson's earlier albums.

Click here and see if you can spot any similarities.

Songs, songs and more songs!
Stick has been working on producing a lot of stuff for other people lately. First off, check the song "We Came to Party" by D Murder, Outbreak and Stick Martin. You can check it out on D Murder's myspace page.

Also, in the last few weeks Stick has been putting the final touches on an entire album by he's good friend Adam Z. Adam helpped mix Thrilla and put the band up in Philly while we were on tour, so we kind of owe him. The album isn't completed yet, but you can get a sneak peak at a song called "The Balled of Johnny Jagerbomb." It was played on this weeks podcast episode from Something Planet, (we love those guys).

And speaking of Something Planet, David the Day owes me a rim job. Rencently, we recorded another Theme song for their show (that makes 3). This new theme song was also featured on this weeks episode.

To hear the new Something Planet Theme
and The Ballad of Johnny Jagerbomb by Adam Z,
click here and download the new epidsode.

And as if we don't help those mfer's enough,

Stick just started wrting for Dunedin Free Press and his first interview was with the Something Planet crew. It is a really funny interview and the first thing I've ever written for a newspaper. The hard copy edition will be on the streets in a few days, but you can catch the interview on the Dunedin Free Press website right now.

Lastly,if you forgot to download it. Here's a link to our new live album

New Song with D Murder

Hey peeps,
Stick did a new hip hop track with D Murder and Outbreak from BloodnGuts records. (You might remember D Murder from Drugs, Money and Bitches on our Thrilla album. The song is titled We Came to Party It's kind of a techno beat thing, that is waaaaaaaaaaay out of our normal style, but it's been getting a lot of good reviews lately. If you'd like to check it out hit up D Murder's myspace by going toto the following link:

That's it for now

New Drummer Found!

Word up folks,
Well, we finally found ourselves a new drummer. His name is Josh Perrotto, formerly with the band Chubby Tuff. We'll be rehearsing like crazy for the next few weeks so we can get back to playing all your favorites. (Instead of just the easy ones).
One last thing, if you forgot to download our new, free live album. You can get it at the link below.

Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire

Hey peeps,
Big news here. First off, we've got a new live album available for free download. We recorded it while on tour at Live Wire in Savannah GA. It's called Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire. This was one of the last shows of the tour and also one of the best. Once again, it's completely free. Follow the link below to get it.

Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire

Next up, our search for a new drummer is going well. We've jammed with a few different people and we're getting a lot closer to figuring things out. We should have word on this within a week or so. Much love and thanks to Pete and Brian for filling in on drums these last few weeks. We would have been screwed without you guys.

Last thing, I promise. Harlow and me (Stick) have started running an open mic at Cricketers on Thursday nights. If you live close please come on out and show your stuff. Bring a guitar and some songs.

That's it for now. Enjoy the new album.

Our History

The Stick Martin Show formed
on the 28th day
of the eleventh month,
in the year 2003 AD.
It was in the county of Pasco
that they met,
aahhhh yes
in the sunny state of Florida.
Three transplanted
musically proficient nomads
met through tones unknown.

Mr. Stick Martin
will ignite your brain lava
with his lyrical genious,
and he is sure to get you
off your seat.
This boy's from
Frogballs, Pennsyltucky
and he knows how to
knock your socks
on your ass.
So look out!!
Stick, fresh off the
L-train circuit in NYC,
moved to FLA. Suitcase, Guitar,
and a BIG box of CDS
in his hand.
And then a miracle!
  He met 3 of
  the coolest,
 most awesome,
kick ass musicians!

Eric Harlow-
He plays the bass guitar
with both hands.
There have been
many times,
at many different places
that people have said,
in not so round about ways
that his 2 handed style
is just as good
as some others
they have heard.
(that could even
include stuff
that they heard
on the RADIO!).
He's from south western
Michigan
(Just an hour out of Chicago)

Josh Perrotti:
Long legged drummer
from parts unknown.
He's a Florida boy,
full of sunshine
and good beats.
He'll hold the groove down
like you would not believe.
He's like the sexy Mrs. Dash
to Stick and Harlow's
salt and pepper.
He's like  pop rocks
and diet pepsi, mang.
Can you dig?

Mozdy: aka The Young Gun
is the new guy in the group.
He our sound man
and our ride
when Stick's van breaks down.
He likes holding hands
and long walks on the beach.
If you can't hear my vocals,
he's the guy your supposed to tell.

New Blog

Okay,
I'm setting up a new blog, that I can hopefully link to my various social networking sites. This one for the most part is just a test.
