   STICK MARTIN SHOW NEWS

Biggest News Update in TSMS history

Crazy, crazy week coming up.  We hope to see a bunch of you people hanging out with us.
First off, I'm trying really hard to get as many heads out to my open mic this Tuesday as I possible can.  We've had a ton of country and karaoke lately, and I'd love to get it back to kids playing originals and rocking asses off.  Please, please, please come out and play, (but dont' play that song called "Come Out and Play"  I hate the Offspring).  I'm really trying to rally some heads here, don't let me down.

Next thing, I want to mention is all mp3 album downloads from our website are now $5.  Five bucks, for a full album, what a bargain?

Click here if you're interested in this deal of the century.

Up next, is a while back Stick appeared on the Screaming Sam Show podcast.  I had a joke off with Water Boy and it was hilarious.  Did I win the joke off?  You'll have to tune in to find out.

Next up, we got mentioned on TBT's webiste.  They made a small connection between our last studio album and one of Michael Jackson's earlier albums.

Click here and see if you can spot any similarities.

Songs, songs and more songs!

Stick has been working on producing a lot of stuff for other people lately.  First off, check the song "We Came to Party" by D Murder, Outbreak and Stick Martin.  You can check it out on D Murder's myspace page.

Click here to check "We Came To Party!"

Also, in the last few weeks Stick has been putting the final touches on an entire album by he's good friend Adam Z.  Adam helpped mix Thrilla and put the band up in Philly while we were on tour, so we kind of owe him.  The album isn't completed yet, but you can get a sneak peak at a song called "The Balled of Johnny Jagerbomb."  It was played on this weeks podcast episode from Something Planet,  (we love those guys).

And speaking of Something Planet, David the Day owes me a rim job.  Rencently, we recorded another Theme song for their show (that makes 3).  This new theme song was also featured on this weeks episode.

To hear the new Something Planet Theme
and The Ballad of Johnny Jagerbomb by Adam Z,

And as if we don't help those mfer's enough,

Stick just started wrting for Dunedin Free Press and his first interview was with the Something Planet crew.  It is a really funny interview and the first thing I've ever written for a newspaper.  The hard copy edition will be on the streets in a few days, but you can catch the interview on the Dunedin Free Press website right now.

New Song with D Murder

Hey peeps,
Stick did a new hip hop track with D Murder and Outbreak from BloodnGuts records.  (You might remember D Murder from Drugs, Money and Bitches on our Thrilla album.  The song is titled We Came to Party It's kind of a techno beat thing, that is waaaaaaaaaaay out of our normal style, but it's been getting a lot of good reviews lately.  If you'd like to check it out hit up D Murder's myspace by going toto the following link:

That's it for now

New Drummer Found!

Word up folks,
Well, we finally found ourselves a new drummer.  His name is
Josh Perrotto, formerly with the band Chubby Tough.  We'll be rehearsing like crazy for the next few weeks so we can get back to playing all your favorites.  (Instead of just the easy ones).
One last thing, if you forgot to download our new, free live album.  You can get it at the link below.

Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire

Hey peeps,
Big news here. First off, we've got a new live album available for free download. We recorded it while on tour at Live Wire in Savannah GA. It's called Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire. This was one of the last shows of the tour and also one of the best. Once again, it's completely free. Follow the link below to get it.

Ball Sweat & Tears @ Live Wire

Next up, our search for a new drummer is going well. We've jammed with a few different people and we're getting a lot closer to figuring things out. We should have word on this within a week or so. Much love and thanks to Pete and Brian for filling in on drums these last few weeks. We would have been screwed without you guys.

Last thing, I promise. Harlow and me (Stick) have started running an open mic at Cricketers on Thursday nights. If you live close please come on out and show your stuff. Bring a guitar and some songs.

That's it for now. Enjoy the new album.

Open Mic Tuesdays and Punk in Drublic Wednesdays

Stick is now hosting an open mic night every Tuesday and DJ Punk in Drublic Night every Wednesday at Big Shots Bar i Clearwater (corner of Enterprise and McMullen Booth).
At Tuesdays Open Mic, everyone from solo singer/ songwriters to full bands are invited to come in and jam.  We have mics and a drum kit, all you need is your guitar, amp and drum sticks.  We start around 9:30.
Now on Wednesdays we've got Punk and Drublic.  Stick will be DJing throughout the evening.  It will be all punk from 9 to around 1:30.  Drink Specials are $1 Pabst Blue Ribbon.  That's right $1 PBR.  You will hear thing no other bar in Florida dares to play.  C'mon out and get shitty.

The Ball Sweat and Tears Tour Coming in March

We are finally hitting the road.  We embark on a 17 day tour in March.  We will be heading up the east coast and back and we're attempting to play every night we're out there.  The confirmed dates are listed on the right.  If you know anyone in these towns shoot them an email or phone call and tell 'em to come and see us.  Also, we'll be looking for some places to crash along the way so if you know anyone who can hook us up with a floor or a couch, definitely let me know.

We love you fuckers,
and thanks,
The Stick Martin Show

Houses of the Harlow

Well, we've started work on the new record.  It's going to be called Houses of the Harlow and it's going to be another long ass album.  I love long albums.  Old Ween records used to come with like 23-26 songs.
Also, I'm really trying to get my collection of songs out there.  We've written so much that hasn't been recorded yet.  If it's too long for you, just skip passes songs your not into.
This record will for the most part be our harder edged stuff.  Mostly rock, a bit of cow punk stomping country and very, very little hip hop.  (We're about all hip hopped out for the time being).
I'm really excited about this one.  I know our last album came out only a few months ago, but it takes us a long ass time to record.  This one shouldn't take as long as the hip hop album though.  Many of those songs we're written in the studio, where as for this album everything is written already.  We just got to record and mix it.
Hopefully we'll have another cast of great guest musicians.  Probably some peeps helping out on vocals, guitar, piano and some other stuff.
Well, that's it for now, we'll keep you posted.

Fuck Total Media

Hey everyone, sorry to be negative, but I need to mention this.  We used this compnay Total Media in Cleatwater to press our discs of the new album.  Well they came out all distorted and we were unable to use or sell them.  They were total dickheads about the whole situation.  If you are in a band or whatever and you ever need to get cd's printed, stay away from this company.  So far they have not refunded our money.

Thrilla Out Now!

It is finally out, baby.  Thrilla the all new Stick Martin Show album.  Oh yes, it is as great as you heard.  You can order it here on our website or at our shows.  It will be available locally very soon.  Probably Quick Nick's, and later some other places we'll let you know.

New Album Listeing Party Monday June 9 on Myspace

This Monday night, we'll be having a listening party for the new album. The basic idea is this:

We had a ton of guests on the album and we've given them each a song to put up on thier myspace player. On Monday night you'll be able to hear a bunch of new songs from the new album on each of their varying myspace pages.

I'll post up the exact links on Monday. These songs will only be up for one night, and won't be available for download, so don't miss out.

One more time that's this monday night, June 9th. Don't forget.
